God is STILL in Control

Please pray for the Holladay family as they go through the tragic loss of their son. My heart is breaking for them and I just cannot imagine the pain they are enduring. God is still in control and He can and will bring a much needed peace. This family is so precious and I pray God will keep them in his arms.

The Garage Sale has ended....AMEN

Magen decided she needed to have a garage sale and I put in several items. The garage sale was Friday and Saturday and you talk about looooong and HOT! Oh my word! Friday went pretty good, but Saturday was not a good sale day. Anyways it is over and not a minute to soon. I think Magen would agree with me.

It sure is HOT!

Magen and her kiddos have kept me busy as a bee. We had a baby shower for one of my cousins last weekend and it went great! I have a test coming up for my Reading Specialist certification so I hope it goes well. Michael is on a business trip this week in San Antonio and I sure do miss him. We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and all was well. We have another sonogram next week then I have a sugar test in July. As everyone knows I am already freaking out because there will be a needle and blood. I already gave the nurse a heads up...LOL. We have decided on the name Sam Andrew Marshall (S.A.M). I cannot wait to start decorating the nursery as soon as Michael gets that room cleaned out. I hope all are doing great!

Energy is at a level 2 and slowly descending...LOL

I tried so hard to be productive today. I did get some of my errands ran and helped Mae with the kids loading them in and out of the car (that was hard...LOL). I still have a list full of things to accomplish, but today is finished no more energy for me. Does summertime do this to anyone else?

Thank goodness for Summer

Summer has started off right! I got to play with Mae's kids, rest, clean, and run up and down the road. I am trying to get a weekend trip planned for Michael and me before little angel is born. I am seriously thinking of joining a knitting group on Tuesday nights...LOL. I would love to learn how to be more domestic and know how to do a skill...LOL. Here is to summertime relaxing!!!!

BOY! This is shocking news to us because we had an informal so to say sonogram last week with the "old" machine and today we had one with the "new" updated machine and so we are having a sweet little boy. :)

Sister to the Rescue

Ok I had another meltdown last night. I just felt so sleepy, I didn't have any jeans that fit, and I couldn't find mama. I called Magen's house and I started crying...LOL. She said what are you crying about and I said I don't have any blue jeans that fit and she said do you need me to get you some and I said okay and she told me to stop crying...LOL. Needless to say my sister ordered me some "bigger girl" pants so I can breathe. Thank you Mae!

Who me? Mean?

I have recently been accused by members of my family (no names mentioned, mama and daddy)of having some mean moments. Okay I can admit that nerves get a little out of whack sometimes and I may possibly come off as not as nice as I should be. I cannot help it if I misunderstood and thought I was getting a pizza for a snack and Colby and Caylin ate it...LOL. I was so hungry!!!! Hey now, anyone who knows me knows that when it comes to food they best step to the side because this girl may be suffering from lack of food. Oops! I will use this hormone card as long as possible so blame it on the hormones for the drastic mood swings...LOL.

Test Score Results

The verdict is that I passed my tests. I thought I was finished until a lady told me that I still had one more, the certification test. Dern, I am tired of taking tests! Would someone like to offer to take this test for me???? Thanks for all the prayers.

Emotional Rollercoaster

I am so emotionally out of whack. This morning at church I heard Jennifer practicing a song and just burst out into tears. Poor Michael was trying to figure out what was going on. All I could say was that I was hormonal...LOL. I just couldn't quit crying until I got into Sunday School and sat there about 5 minutes. How strange!!! Please reassure me I am normal...

Tribute to the most influential women in my life...

As I look at my little bulge and watch the scale go up, I get excited yet nervous about the life changing event that is going to happen. I think about all the possible situations that will occur: What bottles to use? Am I going to get enough sleep or be a grizzly bear? What do I do if my precious angel cries and cries? How will I deal with the first time my baby talks back and I cannot believe the tone that came out of his/her mouth? I stopped and thought about the women I can turn to in time of need, prayer, and a good ole fashion cry session. Here's to you ladies...

Mama - She must have done something right because Mae and I are not in jail or committed a felony (I have been close with Michael snoring...LOL). We both still attend church and keep the phone lines burning between the 3 of us. You are an INCREDIBLE mother and I will try to learn your gifts of patience and Christian love and apply them with my own family. I love you mama!

Magen - I wonder daily how you keep your sanity when everywhere you look there is a child getting into something or demanding your attention. Lord only knows how you keep it semi together. You are an AWESOME mother to your babies. Anyone can tell that those 3 kids are your world. I will try to learn your gifts of sanity/love through daily chaos and organization down to the tee. I love you Mae!

To all the other women who demonstrate what a Christian mother should be, Granny, Jennifer, Ashley, and Judy, I want to say thank you for being such a great example.

Baby Update

I went to the doctor this afternoon and everything checked out good. I have gained some weight...LOL. The baby's heartbeat was 151 bpm. Next month I will find out if we are having a boy or girl. I cannot wait to start shopping!!!!

Test in Nacogdoches

Well, I got through this test and have just 1 more left. I don't know if I passed or not until another 2 weeks. Oh man, I hope I did good enough. Thank you for the prayers. I will let everyone know results when I get it. If you don't hear about results then that means they weren't good...LOL.

Prayer Request

I am completing my Master's Degree in Reading and have 2 tests left to complete. One test is tomorrow and the other test is May 1st. I just really need a special prayer that I will be calm, confident, and remember everything I learned and studied.
I cannot wait to get this behind me once and for all.
